I strive to create unique pieces of jewelry that reflect my own personal style and surroundings. A majority of my work is a combination of sterling silver and semi-precious gemstones. I also enjoy using various techniques and styles, such as Keum-Boo and enameling, to add elements to my designs.
I found my passion for working with metal after getting a job as an apprentice jeweler in 2000. I entered the University of Alaska Fairbanks with the idea that I would get a degree in Art, but soon decided that an art degree wasn’t a good “career” choice for me, and decided to major in Business. Throughout college I still found time to pursue my love of metalwork and jewelry, and incorporated art classes into my busy schedule. In 2009 I ended up at a crossroads in my career, and decided it was time to take my creative side more seriously. I began selling my work at seasonal events around the state of Alaska.
