WIC AND SENIOR FARMERS MARKET COUPONS

The WIC (women, infants, children) program and senior Farmers Market coupon program is administered by the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Services and the Alaska State Farmers Market Nutrition Program. It's purpose is (1) to provide locally grown, fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs for currently eligible WIC women and children, and eligible senior citizens, and (2) to expand customer base and use of farmers markets where consumers can buy direct from the grower.

The Alaska Grown program ensures quality in Alaskan agricultural production.  The logo guarantees products have the finest flavor, freshness and appearance.  Only products produced in Alaska are eligible for this certification of quality

The Made in Alaska program is designed to promote products and handicrafts made or manufactured in Alaska.  All Made in Alaska items are created by in-state producers using, to the greatest extent as possible, Alaskan resources and materials to complete the product.

Silver Hand

The Silver Hand program is designed to identify authentic Alaska Native handicrafts.  The official symbol is the Silver Hand seal.  The artisans using this symbol are also Made in Alaska certified.
